Grok chatbot will be developed for free to use Photo: XAI
Elon Musk-owned microblogging website Xer (formerly Twitter)'s artificial intelligence or AI-based chatbot Grok was initially open only to Xer's 'premium' subscribers. But now the free trial users are also getting a chance to check it out. Users in certain regions are reportedly able to use Grok AI without paying for X Premium.
Many users who used X for free last week have been able to use some of the features of the Grok AI chatbot in their X account. It is being said that Elon Musk is actually preparing to survive in the AI competition with big companies like OpenAI, Google and Microsoft by giving everyone the opportunity to use Grok. This is because he wants to accelerate the growth and development of Grok AI. It is possible to accelerate the development of AI chatbots more easily by opening the opportunity to free users. Because, it will increase the number of users of the chatbot and train the chatbot by getting more information.
TechCrunch reports that an X user posted the terms and conditions for using Grok AI for free. According to the terms, free users must use the app for at least seven days and have a phone number associated with their account. Free Grok AI usage allows up to 10 questions per day on the Grok-2 model. And the Grok-2 mini model will have the opportunity to ask 20 questions. Also three images can be analyzed daily. Recently, Elon Musk's XAI has opened two new versions of Grok AI chatbot 'Grok 2' and 'Grok 2 Mini'. Using version two, synthetic images can be quickly created from written instructions (prompts).
Incidentally, in December last year, Grok launched the chatbot X. X users can quickly get answers to various questions using the AI-powered chatbot. Not only that, Grok can also collect the necessary information from the Internet and answer various questions of the users. As a result, using Grok provides quick updates on any topic. Elon Musk launched XAI in July last year to develop his own artificial intelligence-powered chatbot. He is also serving as the head of the XAI organization made up of former employees of DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research, and Tesla.
